Course Description
As relationship therapists, we hold space for both individual wounding and relational repair. Healing truly takes root when we can attune to both the inner world of parts and the relational space between partners.
This training introduces a powerful integration of Imago Relationship Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) — two modalities that, when used together, offer a transformative framework for working with couples impacted by trauma.
Where Imago focuses on the space between partners — the relational field — IFS invites us to explore the space within: the internal system of protective and wounded parts that shape how we show up in connection. When combined, these approaches help therapists support couples in healing old wounds, shifting reactive patterns, and cultivating deeper empathy and intimacy.
In this experiential course, you will:
- Explore your own internal system and how it influences the relational space you hold with clients.
- Learn how to integrate key principles of IFS and Imago in your work with couples.
- Practice tools for helping partners connect with their own parts while staying present in relationship.
- Discover how this dual-lens approach can deepen emotional safety, mutual understanding, and lasting change.
By engaging with these models personally and professionally, you’ll be better equipped to guide couples toward healing — from the inside out.
